Subject: Otis High School visit to the State Capitol

Wednesday of this week, the senior class from Otis High School and their teacher Landan Schaffert visited the State Capitol here in Denver. It was an absolute honor to have Mr. Schaffert and his phenomenal students here to tour the General Assembly.  The students had the opportunity to sit and listen in to the House Chamber, they went to the top of the gold dome, visited committee rooms, and even got to meet both their State Representative, myself, and State Senator, Sonnenberg. I want to give a huge thank you to Mr. Schaffert for the outstanding job he is doing in educating our youth. Otis High School, and Washington County is so lucky to have an educator like Mr. Schaffert. I look forward to one day seeing Mr. Schaffert’s students here at the State Capitol, not just touring but leading the state government to represent rural Colorado.
